Gone Raw

It is so healing to be in our home, and settling into OUR own routine. After our 13 day, $48,000, stay at the hospital where THEIR routine was to give J nothing but ice chips, around the clock drugs, TPN and no sleep because they had to monitor him constantly...healing was just out of the question in an environment like that! But, at home, we are able to truly be restful, cruise with our kids, and mentally recharge. So, just to clarify, when we said we are "waiting for our miracle", we aren't just sitting in an empty room doing nothin' waiting for GOD to save us. We are fighting the good fight until it is complete. I have been setting up a treatment program in our home, and in the process of finding a cancer mentor to help us. We have gone to a 100% organic raw diet. The purpose of this is to not put ANYTHING into J's body that will feed the cancer. By eating raw, we are experiencing the full potential of vitamins, minerals and enzymes that our bodies can readily digest and use efficiently and effectively...and starve the cancer. It isn't as overwhelming as I thought it was going to be. I hate cooking, but technically it isn't cooking, so maybe that is why I am enjoying myself! Hah! Last week J and I ate an all organic, raw, whole liquified diet, except for 2% organic cottage cheese and flax oil (Dr. Johanna Budwig cancer diet). We aren't juicing...we are "whole food liquifying", meaning that we are using the whole vegetable to get the maximum benefits with all the fiber. It was pretty much torture, but the rewards came after a few days seeing J getting better and better. When we got home from Texas, J looked almost normal. He was getting his body back, but after the horrible hospital stay he came home just a sliver of a man again. But, I realized something and told him, "You know, I don't think it is the cancer that makes you look like this. I really think it is all the morphine. You look more like a drug addict than a cancer patient!" I realized that he looked the same way every time after coming out of the hospital, grayish skin tone, sunken eyes and like a waif. And, after the three hospital stays in four months, the look is recognizable. So, as the days have been going on, and the drugs have been getting out of J's system, he is looking better and better. His eyes are sparkling again, he is pluming back up slowly and his color is normal. We have now expanded our liquified diet to zucchini pastas, tomato basil soup, no bean hummus, and now I am experimenting with flax seed onion bread and veggie cakes. We also drink a product called Frequensea that is a whole raw food packed with minerals and vitamins. We now take this instead of a multivitamin knowing our bodies are absorbing and utilizing every drop of it. It is also microscopic, so it can be absorbed despite J's weaken liver. Plus, our kids love it. It is now their "juice" everyday diluted in water. People have experienced health miracles drinking Frequensea. The video is pretty neat to watch: www.teamjimstrong.provibranthealth.com

We are also using hyperthermia as a big weapon against the cancer. Hyperthermia, achieved using a far infrared sauna, is a triple threat against the cancer. 1) It removes accumulated toxins, drug residue and chemicals from the body that causes cancer. 2) It improves circulation so that tissues are nourished with oxygen and are flushed of acidic metabolic wastes 3) Cancer cells have a lower resistance to heat, and are weakened or even killed at temperatures up to 113 degrees. It is much like the body's natural defense to induce a fever to fight a cold. So, we are just utilizing a natural mechanism that GOD created with our bodies to kill the cancer in J's body. Along with the FIR sauna, J is doing Exercise With Oxygen Therapy (EWOT) three times a day. He jumps on a mini trampoline, well he is shuffling at this point after surgery, with 100% pure oxygen flowing through his nose. The jumping moves his lymphatic system, and cancer cannot survive in a highly oxygenated environment. So, by flooding his body with O2, we are once again defeating the cancer. J is also drinking over a gallon a day of ionized alkaline water. Cancer, and other illnesses, cannot live in an alkaline body, so by drinking the water we are forcing J's internal terrain to be an alkaline and healing place.

So much more to tell, but this is a little glimpse into our lives right now. We are not at all giving up, and actually we are purposing to not give the cancer even an inch to grow, move or breathe in J's body. It has no place in our lives, and we have officially given it notice to get out!

Glad that everyone is home and that Jim is regaining his vibrant health again. There is so much to enjoy in life in being yourself, to laugh and smile in celebrating another day is a positive step in recovering.

Many people say that the mind will break before the body. For most, it is true. But for others, like Lance Armstrong, who overcame his cancer, his mind didn't break, nor his body.

Jim, your strength and willpower is amazing. Your body has endured a lot the past few months, and your mind stayed Jim Strong, enduring the pain and fighting the cancer with the love provided by Rem, Mia and Levi.

Keep healing and regain your fitness. FX channel needs you to help out if they ever decide to film Rescue Me in Hawaii. It would be so cool if you were giving scuba lessons to Dennis Leary and the cast. Wonder how they could write Honolulu into the script???

Keep healing!
