It's me, Shayna...again. I just wanted to encourage anyone reading to use the CHIPIN widget to the right. Hooray for the 2 new contributors since yesterday! Jim and Rem see the contributions coming in, who contributed, and are eternally grateful.
I realize $35,000 seems like an intimidating number and raising it a daunting task. We're all tempted to think that our measely 20 bucks or whatever won't even be a drop in the bucket. But it is so much more. Together we can do this! I thought it might help to breakdown the Dallas treatment expenses so you can see that, truly, every little bit will make a big difference for Jim, Rem and the kids.
• The cost of treatment: $300-$400 a day
• Rent: $105 a day
• Airfare: $3300 total
• Car: $2500 total
Maybe you can contribute a 1/3 day of treatment. That's huge! Maybe you can cover the morning's rent. Or maybe you can cover their rental car for the day. Whatever you give, trust that it will go to paying for something definite and tangible: treatment, room/board, airfare or car rental. Chip in a little today, tell a friend to chip in a little tomorrow...it all adds up to a whole lot!
**If you are unable to give donations by CHIPIN, then you can send checks directly to the Hawaii or Virginia families for J and the family.
